Barley water tea is such a hidden gem. It’s a great source of minerals and antioxidants, helps lower inflammation and balance blood sugar, and can help soothe digestive issues.

Using unhulled barley is crucial since it’s more nutritious, but it’s also difficult to find. Comment TEA and I’ll send you the link to the type of barley you need.

Barley Water Tea

8 cups water
1 cup unhulled barley
Raw honey to taste (I use 1 Tbs)

Bring the water to a boil and then stir in the unhulled barley. Allow the tea to steep uncovered until the temperature reaches 100 degrees (in order to avoid killing the nutrients in the honey, while still being warm enough to dissolve the honey). Stir in the honey and strain the barley out. Enjoy warm or chilled!
